by on September 23, 2021

We’re a couple of months away from the Planning Portal Annual Conference on 15-18 November 2021 and we have a whole day dedicated to Planning Reform with some of the leading industry figures joining us for keynote speeches, panel discussions and break out sessions.

View the full agenda

The day will start with an opening address from our Managing Director, Sarah Chilcott, with a contribution from the Minister of State for Housing, Rt Hon Christopher Pincher MP.

Joanna Averley, Chief Planner at the Ministry of Housing Communities and Local Government (MHCLG) will be returning once again with her keynote speech to address the changes and developments on planning reform over the past 12 months and discusses the planning whitepaper.

Following this, Sarah Chilcott will be hosting our first panel discussion of the week. The topic for this panel is ‘Planning reform: One year on’ and is set to be an interesting conversation. Joining Sarah will be Joanna Averley, Andrew Baddeley-Chappell; CEO at National Custom and Self-Build Association, Maria Dunn; Head of Development Policy at Birmingham City Council and Wei Yang; President of the Royal Town Planning Institute.

After a short break we will hear from our headline sponsors DigEplan. Jason Matthews, CEO at DigEplan, discusses how the application of cloud technology can help deliver incremental improvements to the stakeholder workflows in the planning process, reducing planning administration and time to decision.
