Planning Portal wins support from Cabinet Office Mutuals Support Programme
I’m delighted to report that the portal team have won funding from the Cabinet Office Mutuals support programme.
The funding will pay for consultancy support to help us identify a suitable bid partner and develop an employee led bid to run the service in the future.
Responses are invited from interested parties with the appropriate skills.
Enquiries about partnering with the Portal in a future Joint venture should be directed in the first instance to my colleague Anne Jefferies on 0117 372 6343 or anne.jefferies@communities.gsi.gov.uk
Great news! Anything that promotes or contributes to the continuance of this institution is to be applauded. The Planning Portal has proved to be a huge success and of immense assistance to planning agents at all levels of the profession. The technical excellence of its web site should stand as a shining example to others (particularly the banking institutions) and the sensitive stance of its Director combined with his wry sense of humour make his blogs a not-to-be-missed event.
Long may it flourish.

John,
I can’t thank you enough for your kind words especially at this time of uncertainty.

All the more reason for the service to be kept out of the hands of the asset stripping, service degrading, staff sacking, profit oriented Privateers ?
