Planning Portal launches new website features

The Planning Portal are always looking for better ways to deliver new and existing content to our loyal and varied audience and ensure the guidance and advice you need is easy to find. With this in mind, we have launched some exciting new content areas and navigational changes to our website. These developments will help everyone to quickly find the information they need, whilst offering further opportunities for developing new content areas.

New features of Planning Portal website

  • The existing do you need permission webpage has been divided into home improvement projects and commercial or residential projects
  • The new home improvement project area has been split into the different project phases: project planning, build and completion
  • The new commercial and residential section has been split into similar phases: strategy and design, build and completion and operation.

The new sub-sections contain a wealth of information and guidance to help readers through every stage of a project, and include

  • A new services and calculators hub with accredited map suppliers, collaborative workspaces and other helpful tools
  • A new building warranties section
  • Easy access to Approved Documents and building regulations content
  • Access to project planning resources to support large and small scale developments
  • Project viability information
  • Comprehensive information about planning legislation.

Of course, you’ll still be able to access our planning and building control application services in the usual way as well as reading our blog for news of our latest product and service developments.

    Is there a freely available web site which brings together all appeals results for applications and PD/LDC applications?

      Thanks for getting in touch. The Planning Inspectorate’s appeal casework service is freely available to search for all appeals and can be accessed here: https://acp.planninginspectorate.gov.uk/
