Non Material Amendment Application Form

by on October 10, 2011

There appears to be a little confusion about these forms, so rather than tack this onto the earlier post, here is an update.

The Portal does offer a Non Material Amendment Application form or “Application for a non-material amendment following a grant of planning permission. Town and Country Planning Act 1990” to give it it’s snappy title.

You’ll find it here

We also offer a Notice for Non Material Amendments or once again a slightly less snappy “Town and Country Planning (Development Management Procedure) (England) Order 2010 NOTICE UNDER ARTICLE 9” which is here.

For the time being both are pdf only and must be downloaded but we are planning to wrap them into our the next iteration of 1App.

Guidance and help on submitting these applications or notices can be found in the text box at the foot of the “make an Application” page on the Portal.

Sir I now heard of this new form for non material amendments,I would think there are many alterations and extensions does fall in these categorised type where the homes does not need to go to an agent to apply for permissions, why not let the general public to be made known these in the standard initial application form as a part of the decentralisation so that people save money on agent fee and waiting time on the the decisions by LPA. These forms must be free from law makers and software writers ambiguities and made more easy for anyone to use on the portal application types.

Hi Mark, thanks for the comment. We’re doing our best to move development of the application service forward despite our currently constrained times. Adding the NMA form is certainly under consideration. As soon as I have firm news I’ll let you know.

Sorry I can’t be more definite at this point.

Can you please advise if there is a similar procedure “in the pipeline” for Wales?

Last time I filled in one of these NMA forms it was possible to do so electronically then create a PDF of the filled in form so that I had an electronic copy for my records and to submit by email. Now it appears this functionality has been disabled. Why this step backwards??

Hi Jon, I think you may be confusing this form with another one. The Portal NMA form has never been ‘fillable’. Might you have been using one provided by a local authority with a similar look and feel?
