Learn about digital planning at the National Planning Conference

by on November 1, 2023

The digital revolution that continues to shape our world is also at the front and centre of the planning industry. At the National Planning Conference this year we have a few sessions specifically dedicated to addressing and explaining the digital technologies helping to shape the built environment.

In the morning of the first day of conference, Scott Alford of Planning Portal will share insight on Planning Portal’s ongoing commitment to the transformation of the planning and building control process. It will be an opportunity to hear from the Planning Portal team and partners about the work which is underway to make the online processes more efficient for all stakeholders.

There is a consensus that digital technologies have the potential to transform the planning process, but the path from A to B is less clear.

In our Delivering on Digital and Data session on Thursday afternoon, we’ll hear some real examples of digital planning in action and reflect on the lessons learnt during the implementation of these services.

The session will also include an update on implementing Biodiversity Net Gain in the planning process.

As part of this, delegates will have an exclusive opportunity to hear from Joe’s Blooms, Objective Keystone and Environment Bank on how they are working digitally to deliver real solutions on a number of key issues for the built environment industries.

Biodiversity Net Gain

The RTPI recently published a report stating that planners have been struggling to prepare for the upcoming biodiversity regulations.

Joe’s Blooms can help. They offer a comprehensive Biodiversity Net Gain tool to help all applicants ensure they understand and can meet their BNG responsibilities, for every project.

Find out more about Joe’s Blooms.

We look forward to seeing you at the National Planning Conference in November.
