Learn about Sustainable Infrastructure at the National Planning Conference 2023

In an ever-changing world, sustainability should be at the heart of all planning decisions.
As you may have seen, Planning Portal recently became members of the UK Business Council for Sustainable Development (UKBCSD). Promoting environmental and other forms of sustainability within our sector continues to be a top priority and as such you can expect it to be a central theme at this year’s National Planning Conference.
It is imperative that all parts of our economy are responding to the demands of our changing climate and that adaptations at every industry level are being made now, to help us prepare for future challenges and to avoid more extreme disruption. Naturally, sustainable infrastructure has a huge part to play as we work towards building a positive future.
With this in mind, we are delighted to announce that Grant Findlay, Executive Managing Director of Sir Robert McAlpine will be chairing our ‘Delivering Sustainable Infrastructure’ session at the National Planning Conference 2023.
The session, which will be held in partnership with the UKBCSD, will welcome industry-leading thinkers including Iain Jenkinson from CBRE, Sarah Scannell from Birmingham City Council and Jason Longhurst from Prologis to discuss the work we still have left to do to hit the UK government’s Net Zero emissions target for 2050, and how we can deliver the infrastructure needed to enable economic growth through the planning system.
It’s a crucial session that nobody working within our industries can afford to miss.
