Initial sponsors announced for National Planning Conference 2023

Following the success of last year’s inaugural National Planning Conference, Planning Portal and Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI) are incredibly excited to be working together to deliver the second event, which this year will take place on 9 – 10 November at the Birmingham Conference and Events Centre.
With the combined experience of both organisations, the conference promises to be the must-attend event of the year for delegates from across public and private sectors, including planners, designers, and developers.
We are very excited to announce Joe’s Blooms as a gold sponsor for the event this year. As you may be aware, Planning Portal have partnered with Joe’s Blooms to support their comprehensive biodiversity net gain tool, which helps planning applicants ensure they meet all the requirements of the new biodiversity net gain legislation, coming into effect this November. We look forward to hearing more from Joe’s Blooms at one of the panel sessions at the event this year, more details of which will follow shortly.
Other confirmed sponsors for the event include Carrington West, who will again sponsor the gala dinner on the Thursday evening, as well as Zinc Media who will be featured on this year’s lanyards.
You can watch the official trailer for the National Planning Conference 2023 below:
This year’s conference will focus on key issues impacting the world of planning, with an emphasis on how we can deliver what is needed for our sector and learn from examples of good practice, both in the UK and abroad.
Over the course of the two-day event, we will explore many topics, including the delivery and design of housing, how we can work with communities to deliver future developments and the impact of digital data and technology on our sector. We will also discuss planning’s role in the delivery of sustainable development goals (SDGs) and hear the Young Planners’ perspectives on the future of planning.
The National Planning Conference website is coming very soon – in the meantime you can register your interest here and we will keep you up to date with all the latest conference news.
