Planning Gateway One content hub is now live on Planning Portal site 

In November last year we published an article in which Peter Baker, then Chief Inspector of Buildings, reflected on a year of Health and Safety Executive’s (HSE’s) Planning Gateway One and the positive impacts that the scheme was already having on fire safety within the planning and building industries. 

Fast forward several months and Planning Portal are delighted to announce that we now host a comprehensive hub of advisory content around the Planning Gateway One service on our website, in partnership with HSE.

For those of you who are not familiar with HSE’s Planning Gateway One service, it provides application-specific advice to Local Planning Authorities (LPAs), applicants and other technical specialists about fire safety matters, helping applicants address fire safety concerns within their proposals and helping authorities to make better decisions around fire safety. 

The guidance on our site is designed to help all parties fully understand Planning Gateway One, so everybody can use the service to its full potential, and achieve the greatest possible level of consideration for fire safety through the planning process.
