The National Planning Conference is fast approaching and you only have until 7pm on Friday 11 November to book your ticket, make sure you secure your place today!
The conference will see two great sessions: ‘Resource planning – the future of the profession’ and ‘Planning for People’.
Resource planning – the future of the profession
We are currently faced with a shortage of planners and ever-increasing workloads. In our ‘Resource Planning’ session will explore the future of the profession, examining the work being done to support existing planners, as well as to encourage people into planning and build a more diverse and inclusive workforce.
The session will be chaired by Helen Fapide, Managing Director at FPP Associates Ltd. Helen will be joined by panellists Rebecca Lovelace, Founder and Chief Dot-Joiner at Building People, Ryan Walker, RTPI Young Planner of the Year 2021 and Senior Planner and Engagement Consultant at Iceni Projects, and Pam Ewen, Head of Planning at Fife council.
Held on day two of the conference, 18 November, it is a session that anyone involved in our industries cannot afford to miss.
Planning for People
We plan and deliver beautiful places for people, but how do we make those communities central to the planning process? We hear from organisations pushing the boundaries and explore the challenges and opportunities of their work.
The session will be chaired by Hannah Barter, Director/Partner at Urban Vision Enterprise CIC. The following will also be speaking at the session; Mekor Newman, Director at Newman Francis, Dr Louise Kane, Chief Executive at Community Places and Simeon Shtebunaev, Doctoral Researcher at Birmingham City University.
