Don’t miss ‘The Importance of Planning in Levelling-Up and Regeneration’ at the National Planning Conference!

by on October 6, 2022

It’s just over a month until the National Planning Conference, and we are delighted with the way things are shaping up!

Held on 17 and 18 November 2022 at the Hilton Birmingham Metropole, this will be the first event of its kind; the must-attend event of the year for planning professionals.

Sarah Chilcott, Managing Director of the Planning Portal, had this to say –

“Ourselves and the RTPI are delighted to have curated such a distinct event for our industry – we have organised a diverse schedule of sessions with a range of influential speakers, who will be sharing their expertise on some of the most cutting-edge ideas in the planning world today. We are really excited to share this event with you all”

We have several sessions lined up, with key-note speakers from across the industry.

The first of which will be ‘The Importance of Planning in Levelling-Up and Regeneration’.

Planning remains central to regeneration of towns and cities across the UK and to the delivery of the levelling-up agenda. In our ‘The Importance of Planning in Levelling-Up and Regeneration’ session, we will hear from leaders from some of the UK’s biggest cities, developers and others about the role planning needs to play to deliver these ambitions.

This session will be chaired by Joanne Roney OBE, with Anthony Breach, Senior Analyist at Centre for Cities, Kate Ives, Strategic Growth Director at Countryside Partnerships, Paul Kitson, Strategic Director at Place, Prosperity and Sustainability and Neil McInroy, Senior Fellow for Global Advancement speaking.

You can find further information on all our speakers and the sessions they will be participating in, by visiting the National Planning Conference website.
