Together, Planning Portal and the RTPI have an unparalleled knowledge of the planning industry and using this experience we have developed an interactive, diverse programme focused on the most cutting-edge ideas in the world of planning today.
Our first session in the morning of 17 November, ‘The importance of planning in Levelling Up and Regeneration’, will be chaired by Joanne Roney OBE. Joanne is the Chief Executive at Manchester City Council as well as the President of Solace – ‘the UK’s leading network for public sector professionals’.
Pooja Agrawal will also join us as the chair of our ‘Digital as an enabler for Planning Reforms’ session, which will be held early in the afternoon on 17 November. Pooja is the founder and CEO of Public Practice.
We also have the honour of welcoming Laura Shoaf, who was responsible for delivering the infrastructure supporting the Commonwealth Games. Laura is the Chief Executive of the West Midlands Combined Authority and will be speaking at our ‘Planning for People and Places’ session, taking place later in the afternoon on Thursday 17 November.
And in the morning on Friday 18 November, we have a session facilitated by Victoria Hills, Chief Executive of the RTPI, with Chief Planners from across the UK and Ireland, who will be speaking on the different approaches taken to planning reform in their respective regions.
The above are just a few key highlights from an extensive and diverse programme of events, facilitated by a range of speakers. We are excited to bring this programme to life with you all in November.
The conference will also include a wellness breakout session, as well as a gala dinner on the first evening of the event.
You can book tickets for the event and find out our full schedule for the conference, as well as more information on our speakers, by visiting the National Planning Conference website.
Don’t miss your chance to be part of this huge event for the planning industry.
Remember to book your place before 22 September to secure the early bird discounted rate!
The early-bird rate will give you 10% off the regular ticket price. This is on top of Local Authority or RTPI discounts that you might already qualify for.
We hope to see you in November.
