May’s online planning application numbers are in

by on June 5, 2015

Planning applications submitted online in May totalled 41,648.  Once again that’s an increase on 2014 numbers – this time up 13% on the same month last year.

For the maths wizzes out there, you will have no doubt already worked out that this means around 2,000 applications are going through the Portal every work day to LPAs across England and Wales.

Do they only work 21 days a year then?

      Hi Ken
Those are just the May numbers, but the rough 2000 per day figure has been fairly consistent for a fair bit of this year so far.

We have near finished building a side extension 3 metres by 5 metres to our concil house. We did not think we needed building permission under the information set out on the building portal. Now after spending £ 12.000 pounds the council have told us we do need peission to build and we have 5 weeks to remove it or face eviction? Has anyone got any advice or information to fight this decision. We have used high grade materials and not skimped on structure or foundations. Nor does it interfere with utility supplies. Help please I’m devastated. Thank you. We live in Greenwich SE9 London
