The Planning Portal Shortlisted for UK Business Awards 2019 ‘Innovation of the Year’ Category

by on September 10, 2019

We are delighted to announce that we have been shortlisted for the UK Business Awards (UKBA) 2019. Taking place in early November, these prestigious awards recognise companies and individuals who exhibit excellent business performance, honouring professionals who are shaping the future of business. The Financial Transaction Service (FTS) has been shortlisted by UKBA in the ‘Innovation of the Year’ category, which recognises businesses that have approached problems with creativity and a new perspective.

Launched last September, the FTS uses automation to provide an ‘all-in-one’ planning application service that processes applications and reconciles the correct planning fees, before forwarding them both to the 368 English local planning authorities (LPAs).

In its first 12 months it has processed around £280m in planning fees, saving time and money for agents and LPAs. Read the six month report.

“We’re delighted to have been shortlisted for our FTS, recognising the innovation it delivers and the positive impact that it’s having on the planning system. To have reached the finals against such a strong field is in itself a fantastic achievement and a reflection of the hard work put in by the team and the ongoing support of our customers”.

Further improvements are in development and will be shared via this blog as soon as we have further details on timeframes. In the meantime, if you have any suggestions for further improvements please do get in contact with us by leaving a comment or via communications@planningportal.co.uk
