Truly Google Street Views is a very powerful tool. The Telegraph hit the nail by announcing: ‘Google Street View: tidy up your gardens, your house is next’
Reporting here from Royal Tunbridge Wells, we have many Councillors living in the rural areas of the Borough. Most of them have past the age where walking is fun or even exercise. They could actually do their virtual walkabouts and learn about the current street scene ‘grot spots’.
Could you imagine Google cars driving out to rural ‘asbestos covered farms’ with hundreds of illegal outbuildings in AONBs?
Councillors using Street View to make decisions is lazy and not to be recommended, as it shows only snapshot in time it can’t give a realistic impression of the ‘workings’ of an area as viewed on screen, for instance it can’t show traffic flow or the way that people use the area.
